Have you tried adjusting the transparency level? From the WindowBlinds Configuration screen click on "Transparency & Blur" tab. Select "I want to change how window frames look" and adjust the slider for More transparent.

Tried that first. Preview shows the transparency. When applied, nothing changes.

OK, I fixed it. I uninstalled WB 6.0 after setting the theme back to Aero. Changed theme to Aero which enabled transparency. Installed WB 5, had transparency. Uninstalled WB 5, installed WB 6 and everything works so far.

To have blur and transperancy effects on Vista, you must have to enable the Aero and have WDM drivers.
